Purest Sounds

Last night, I attended a concert . . . "Music That Heals the Soul" with Kevin Kula and Jeremy Threlfall.....it was healing, inspirational, calming, and inspired the following:

The notes weave the telling
Of the space of time
Given to mere mortals
On sound waves of divine
Painting on the inner ear
The masterpiece of tone
Linking melodies of memories
We'd forgotten that we've known.
For, if our days were void
Of the music sound
We would lose our way
Flat lined...lost...not found.
If we dare to offer
The leaf veins of our soul
We'll wander through God's meadow
As our hearing makes us whole.
For the fluid ripple
Of notes spilled down upon
The spirit's wounded surface
Is healed with purest song . . .
